Before You Step Foot on Campus
Once you've made your decision on what college to attend, this session outlines what needs to be done before the semester starts. We'll discuss the student loan process (including promissory notes and entrance counseling) and identify all the things to think about before the semester starts!

Returning to Learning
This program speaks to the concerns and issues of the adult student, understanding that choosing to go back to college is a major life decision. Education is a powerful tool for career success and personal growth. Adult learners often share that there was no better gift they could have given their families or themselves than achieving their higher education goals. When you are thinking about a return to the classroom, there are some important factors to consider.

Teacher Loan Forgiveness
Designed to encourage individuals to enter and continue in the teaching profession, the Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program offers individuals who teach full time for five consecutive, complete academic years in certain elementary and secondary schools serving low-income families and meet other qualifications the potential to forgive up to a total of $17,500 in principal and interest on their FFEL and/or Direct Loan program student loans. In this session, we will outline the forgiveness program eligibility and offer guidance on how to apply for Teacher Loan Forgiveness for your federal student loans.

Write Stuff
During this session, students learn tips and strategies on developing the written portion of the application focusing on the essay, creating a college resume and letters of recommendations.

College Costs and Funding Strategies
Join the experts as they discuss college financial aid & the scholarship search process. This session is ideal for parents of high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.

Foster Youth (Moving Beyond High School)
Foster youth and youth-in-care, like many students, are often confused and overwhelmed by the college application and financial aid process. This presentation will help navigate students to a postsecondary education and lead them on the path to reaching their life, career and personal goals.

Financial Aid
This presentation helps families navigate through the financial aid process. Financial aid experts discuss ways to apply for aid, what type of aid is available, and how to complete the financial aid and scholarship applications successfully. Funding options, scholarship searches and the importance of deadlines are discussed. Attendees will receive the Scholarship Pocket Guide.

Know the Score: Standardized Testing
Learn about the role standardized testing plays in the college process and gain simple tips to assist you in preparing for the SAT or ACT.

College Overview for Juniors
Selecting colleges and applying for admission can be overwhelming. There are applications to be completed, deadlines to meet, essays to write and policies to understand. High school juniors and their families will learn the basics about the admissions and financial aid processes, and review a timetable for the overall college application process.

College Overview for Seniors
This workshop educates the high school senior and his/her family about the college admission and financial aid processes. Topics to be discussed include: the qualifications colleges are looking for, questions to ask on a college tour, college essay pointers, the application timeline, types of financial aid available to students, scholarship search resources, timelines and calculating the family financial contribution.
