The Workforce Incentive Program

The Workforce Incentive Program links higher education with critical workforce needs by offering an education loan repayment program. The program assists NH employers in the recruitment and retention of employees by providing educational loan repayment for service in New Hampshire in workforce shortage areas. Recipients may be eligible for selection for each year of service - and may receive up to 5 total awards. The maximum total award is $10,000. Applications can be completed between July 1st and September 30th.

The Workforce Shortage Areas for 2009/10 are:

• Nursing - LPN through Graduate
• Education (Teaching)
  • Chemistry
  • General Science
  • Mathematics
  • Physical Science
  • Physics
  • Special Education
  • World Languages (Foreign Languages)
