The Center for College Planning (CCP) at the NHHEAF Network Organizations is dedicated to providing students and families with valuable information about the college planning process. College Outreach Specialists travel statewide making hundreds of presentations to over 31,000 individuals each year. CCP offers an array of early awareness, college and career planning and financial aid programs for K-12 students and parents through library workshops in our Concord offices, free webinars, and special events. In addition, college counselors provide hundreds of families with personalized assistance in our Concord offices.
The College Planning Library opened in 2005 to help parents and students gather detailed information on colleges and universities. With an extensive collection of college catalogs, the library is a great resource for students of all ages who want to learn more about schools in New England and nationwide. The catalogs are available in hard copy as well as online. The library has dedicated PC's that can be used to help students complete college applications. Users can also access a unique software program to search for college majors. For example, they can type in a key word or phrase such as aerospace engineering or culinary arts and in seconds will have a list of schools that have dedicated two-and four-year programs. All NH students and parents are able to make free appointments to meet with expert college counselors for assistance filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and tips for filing the CSS Profile form. College counselors also meet with prospective college students to discuss preparing for the college process and application details, funding options, and preparing to be a college athlete.
